When we read a book, we get deeply involved. Our hearts race faster when the characters are in trouble. We breathe easier when they are safe. In real life, we do much the same but find it far harder to 'put it all down and walk away' if it gets too intense. Ironically, though, that's why it's easier for us to see through the problems of fictional characters. Something is bugging you far more than it needs to this weekend. All you need is to get a little distance and find some perspective. (adivinha quem?)
